Johanna Collins was born in 1851 to Patt Collins (mother’s name unknown at date of writing this)

1882 – 11 April Johanna Collins and David O’Connell married in Feenagh Parish, Co. Limerick.  Witnesses were Margaret Collins and John O’Donnell (mistake maybe?  should be O’Connell?)  Johanna’s father, Patt was dead before 1882.  The address for both Johanna and David was Heathfield on the cert.

David had (assume renting) 19 acres up the hill in Ballinruane (which is probably Heathfield).  When Johanna’s brother John was killed in Ballinruane David wanted to put cattle into Ballinruane.  However, John’s widow Mary who was gone back to her home place in Cappanihane did not think this was a good idea.

1911 census

The witness at their wedding, Margaret Collins may have been from Croagh.

I am not sure if this is the same David and Johanna – if so are David and John their grandsons? QUESTION

Johanna and David bought a house in Kilmeedy.  When David’s grandson (also named David) died, he left some money to Peg Collins.
