I am not sure if or how this Kate O’Shea and her father, Daniel, might be connected to my own O’Shea’s but from the baptism sponsors and marriage witnesses it seems likely that they are.
Daniel O’Shea had a daughter, Catherine, who at age 37 married Constable Patrick Carmody, age 38 from Croagh on 28 Sept 1870 in Granagh Church (Civil registration Castletown parish/district). The question is which Daniel O’Shea is this? Witnesses were James O’Shea and Alice Bennett (this is not Alice Chawke Bennett because she was not born until 1891) see below Could it be Alice Bennett born circa 1825 and married to Edmund Quade (Quaid)?
