- Catherine O’Shea was born on March 2 to Patrick O’Shea and Mary Hannan. Her mother, Mary, registered the birth on the 16th of March. At the same time, she also registered the birth of her sister-in-law’s child, Ellen Power, born on March 10 to Ellen O’Shea and William Power.

All baptised in the Parish of Ballingarry, Co. Limerick. The address recorded for all the births/baptisms was Ballygrennan except for Bridget for whom it was Knockfierna.

- 1867 – Margaret Power born 15 June 1867 and baptised on 16 June 1868. Sponsors were Edmond Kennedy and Anna White
- 1868 – James Power born 11 Sept 1868 and baptised on 13 Sept 1868. Sponsors were Michael Nelligan and Maria Hayes.

Ellen O’Shea Power passed away on July 6, 1898, due to cirrhosis of the liver. I have a note that a service was held for her at St. Joseph’s Church in Granagh and that she was buried in the O’Shea family plot at Seanavoha Graveyard but I have no record of where I found that.
Between 1909 and 1913, Mary Ann and Michael, the children of Patrick (you can find Patrick’s story here), returned to Ireland and took up residence with their aunt’s widower, William Power, along with his two sons. This is documented in both the Irish 2011 Census and a newspaper article from New York. Rumor among the family in the US regarding their purpose for returning to Ireland, suggested they came to resolve a land dispute. However, I don’t know of any dispute – apart from the appeal to the english Parliament regarding their eviction from Kilmacanerla.
